Catching Up

I spent the rest of the week catching up
on laundry, jobs, and everything else we put on hold to go on our trip.
The week went smoothly and quickly since we didn't get back until Tuesday afternoon.

Saturday we went to a beautiful wedding for a couple at our church
Josiah and Kaitlyn
We are so happy for them and wish them all the best!

Caught these pics at the wedding event
Check out this dress Miss Sarah is wearing

And here is Miss Hannah, such a sweet young lady

Here Ethan is trying to tell me something with his hand
(yep, he's Italian alright)

With a little coercion, I was able to catch this pose
(my older son likes to take the pics, not be in them, ha ha)

These three don't ever seem to mind taking pictures.
Even Master Ethan has the smile down pat :0)

The next two pictures were taken this morning in church
and they bring me great joy

Both my sons play on the worship team at our church.
I love seeing them use their talents for the Lord!

Well, tomorrow is Monday...may we all have a blessed week.

Oh Happy Day

Last night we got to watch two sweet lovely young ladies
Don't let Sarah's calm appearance fool you,
she cried quite a bit when her mama walked out the door
and Miss Hannah jumped right in to comfort her baby sister
She has my hair...you can tell from this picture :0)

And then this morning, we got to see this young man
He was all smiles most of the day.
I think he had missed us.
Here is was trying out a Cutie tangerine

OH how we love these three precious children!!!

Home Sweet Home

We had the most amazing time on our vacation
and now we are back home.
Seems like a Monday but is actually a Wednesday...YAY!!!
Stayed up with my husband late last night uploading a LOT of pictures
to the Bus Forum he belongs to.
Here is a link the all those pictures
It will give you an idea of what went on at that Rally

An entire community welcomed us and the 60 buses that were there.
We sure will have lots of memories from that wonderful trip!

Here are more picture highlights:

Meeting my Origami Owl Mentor, Lori

Crossing into Mississippi

Visiting Graceland in Memphis

Crossing into Arkansas

The beautiful Bus Station which was the Main Attraction of our event!
Built in 1939

And our sweet Kia Soul parked outside

So COOL at night

I was able to do a Jewelry Bar Show
(it was VERY windy that day)

and helped raise some money for this Greyhound Adoption Agency

Miss Lady Greyhound

Isn't this precious! He's driving a bus :0)

Isn't this the COOLEST looking McDonald's?
Reminds me of the first ones when I was a little girl!

 Church we parked across from

Visiting Tabatha and her beautiful family
She is a cousin of my daughters-in-law...that makes me her Aunt (sort of)

Meeting Miss Ellie for the very first time!

 Isn't she a little doll!
She would have made my sister a Great-Grandma and my nephew a Grandpa
if they were still with us.
I felt like I was holding a very special part of them.

Some of the roads we traveled coming home

Milli was our co-pilot home :0)

We Are Back Home

We arrived back home today around 2 pm.
We had the most wonderful time!
So sorry I was not able to keep up with my blog.
It is so hard to navigate from my phone
and I had SO many pictures I wanted to post.
This is the reason we went to Blytheville in the first place
Doesn't this look like a postcard?
This is  an actual photo of an actual Greyhound Bus Station
built in 1939 and recently restored.
It is located in a small town in NE Arkansas called Blytheville.
There use to be an Air Base in that little town
but it closed up about 20 years ago and the town has been struggling ever since.
I have so much more to tell you about this town, its people
and our wonderful vacation...but I am SO tired -
it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Good Night All!

Buses, Buses, and More Buses

Today more buses arrived.
We were all gathering at an empty parking lot on a main road in town.

People were pulling in all day to drive past our buses.
Some would even park their cars and get out to come take a closer look and talk to the bus owners.
Mid-day some of us drove downtown to check out the beautiful Bus Station being restored
That is the main attraction for this event.
It was beautiful!!!
(I still haven't figured out how to post pics from my phone, sorry)
Later in the evening we were escorted as we moved all our buses
To our staged location for the Big Event this weekend!
There are suppose to be about 60 Buses here.
We are parked within a few blocks radius of the Bus Station.
On Saturday there will be a parade and several other activities going on
including one of my jewelry shows - I'm excited.

We're Here

We were on the road most of the day today.
We had stopped the night before just over the FL line into Alabama ,
So we drove through a small part of Alabama, a large part of Mississippi,
A small part of Tennessee, and then made it into Arkansas.

We saw parts of this beautiful country we've never seen before.
We had a safe, uneventful trip.
There were five buses already here when we arrived
But there will soon be many more.

Blytheville Bound

We left yesterday around 9:30 am and traveled 481 miles.
It was a very pleasant trip especially when we got out of FL.
I-75 was full of travelers heading back home from their Spring Break
and also the Snow Birds going back home for the summer.

We stopped a few times to stretch our legs and walk Milli
And we also ate something inside the bus.
It was a great day of traveling.
