Days That Make Me Smile

Today was a day full of smiles and love
it was our day with Ethan.
He's always so happy to see us.
He makes my heart light up.

I was thinking the other day of how excited we get
as our kids get older and more independent and we start to put the baby things away...
like the highchair and toys that find themselves sprawled all over the house.
And one day we look around and our house is very much like it was
when we first began our family,
only maybe with a bit more furniture or a nicer place to live,
but you know what I mean...the house can certainly get cluttered
when there are children around.
Then one day, you realize how empty the house is
and the fact that everything stays in it's place.
Now I look around and there are toys nicely placed in a basket
in the corner of our living room.
They sit beside a small child's rocker where Woody, Buzz, and a Snoopy doll sit
when the chair is not occupied by one of our precious grandchildren.
I have moved our coffee table to a corner of the living room
because it's made of slate stone and is an accident waiting to happen
when the babies are over.
I went out and bought a cute little area rug for Ethan (and Sarah)
to sit on when them come over.
My house has all hard wood floors which I LOVE
but it's not very comfy for little people who like to sit on the floor and play.
There is also a highchair that stays in the corner of our dining room
and I don't mind one little bit!
It's wonderful to have the signs of little people all around.
It's one of the most wonderful things...and I am so very thankful!!!
Here is a bit more from our day
This was snack and movie time after his nap
There was no popcorn in that bucket
he likes to wear it as a hat.
Here he was loving on Papa

Cracker Barrel with Momma

Today I took momma to lunch at Cracker Barrel

Look what I parked next to

We split a plate of Chicken Tenders, Carrots, Dumplings, and Coleslaw
and we had some of these
it was DELICIOUS!
Momma couldn't even finish all that was on her plate
so she took it home to eat for dinner.
I think she was saving room for dessert, which was one of these

Ooooh Yeah! It finished the day off real nice!

Let's Get To It!

I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped.
I'm still trying to get ahead on our books.
I'm praying today will be a productive day.
Tomorrow Mom and I want to go to Cracker Barrel.
It's been a while since we've been and we both have a taste for it.
Anyway, thought I'd write early because last night it didn't happen.
I'm trying to get to bed at a more decent time each night
and it's making a difference...
I'm more rested during the day, and ultimately getting more done,
I'm even sleeping better at night,
and my hubby is happy, too.

Hope you have a great day today!

Team Meeting

Our 1st Team Meeting today was AWESOME!!!
Not all of our group could make it (and we missed them)
but what this group of ladies accomplished today was HUGE!!!
We each told our story of how we came to be a part of Origami Owl
and what our goals were.
We shared ideas and encouraged one another
it was AMAZING!!!
I took this picture with this motto that I came back from the Convention with
"DREAM BIG"
and let me tell you...WE ARE!!!

These lockets and charms are what got us started
but the people and their stories are what make this journey WONDERFUL!!!

This whole journey has been a God thing and I am very thankful!!!

Buzz, Buzz, Busy

REALLY busy day today...
Getting ready for a Jewelry Bar tonight
and my 1st official Team Meeting tomorrow.
Lots to do!
Woke up before dawn, rolled out of bed around 7:45,
it's almost 2am now and I'm still not in bed.
Hope tomorrow goes well.
I'm excited but a little nervous, too.
I do better one-on-one, but I'm learning to step out of my comfort zone.
I am doing things I never thought I could.
Guess God knew different.
Good night everyone..Have a wonderful weekend!
P.S. My husband has helped me so much...
he even went to several stores hunting down these supplies for me.
I love him!

And guess what he was doing tonight while I was at my show?
He was watching Mr. Ethan.
Yep, that's right, and all by himself.
Ethan's mommy and daddy had a special date night planned
and Papa went and watched Ethan.
And guess what else?
Ethan had a poopie diaper for Papa, hahaha.
Papa hasn't changed a poopie diaper since Ethan's daddy was a baby...
that's been about 28 years - that's a LONG time!
He did just fine, too! (Papa, that is).
Good job Ethan! Great job Papa!!

This Week is Flying By

Ethan arrived today a little later in the morning than usual.
I had a chance to jump in the shower and wash my hair.
He got to see me with wild hair (before I had a chance to tame it)
but he didn't care.
He smiled just the same as he always does when he sees Grandma Dee.

He ate his breakfast, then played a while.
Before we knew it it was time for lunch.
I made him peanut butter waffles.
His mommy told me about these cute little waffles
and she said he likes to eat them with peanut butter.
He LOVED them!
He ate them all up :0)

After lunch he took a long nap.
We had a fun day!
This is how I've been stating my mornings.
I bought this cup at my local Starbucks last time I paid them a visit.
It was only one dollar...that's right $1.
It is reusable, but the thing I like MOST about it
is that it keeps your coffee REALLY hot and I like that!

Well, have a good night peeps.
Tomorrow is Friday :0)
