Unexpected Surprises

Busy Monday today, but I accomplished a lot.

 Then I got a call in the afternoon with an unexpected surprise -

a very pleasant one :0)

We were asked to watch two precious young ladies for a few hours this evening.

Here is one of them 

She wasn't too sure about us. 

She loves her mama, but as long as her sister was in sight she was ok, 

well, for a little while...

Then when she thought about it, she started missing her mama again.

So we took them out for a walk - 

Hannah on her scooter and Sarah in the stroller

But we only got to the end of the street and then we heard the rain coming.

So we ran (and Hannah scooted, ha ha) back to the house. 

Baby Sarah didn't get wet at all

because we put the top of her stroller over her and it kept her completely dry.

Hannah, Papa, and I giggled as we ran back to the house.

Once inside, Sarah remembered that she was missing her mama

Papa to the rescue. 

He sailed her around the house making airplane sounds

but it was a mere distraction, and she was not giving in to a smile.

I hurriedly prepared her bath and her bottle,

bathed her, then sat on the famous old rocker in the corner of my bedroom

gave her the bottle and rocked her to sleep

And then her mommy and daddy arrived.
