Lovely Dinner Outside

Last night's sleep was a little better. 

Went to bed at a decent hour and got to sleep until about 5 am before Milli woke up.

Took her outside then put her bed in the kitchen again. 

Called the vet this morning and they are giving her yet another antibiotic. 

I've been kind of down today, because she's been moping and not eating well. 

Once again my mind starts thinking that the end is near for her. 

This emotional roller coaster is terrible. 

When I think about it, the tears start to flow, then I have to snap myself out of it. 

If I treat her like she's dying she WILL. 

If I treat her like she's normal, she'll respond to that, too. 

We shall see. 

I got to watch Ethan for a few hours this morning while his mommy got her hair done. 

After he left, I started getting ready for another trip tomorrow.

Lord-willing we'll be heading down south to visit my husband's mother, 

but on our way we're going to stop off and visit some friends 

who are staying down south for the winter. 

Their home is in Michigan, but they own a bus and that's how we met them. 

We are looking forward to seeing them. 

Tonight is the usual scramble to get everything packed and ready to leave in the morning. 

And of course, my husband had a crazy day of jobs...

that never fails when we are trying to get away. 

But in spite of all the distractions, I managed to get a lot accomplished

including baking some cookies for my sweet uncle who lives in Kentucky.

He has a birthday coming up and I promised him cookies. 

I was so bummed that I didn't have time to make him any for Christmas

it was really important to me to get them to him in time for his birthday. 

Lord-willing he should get them Friday.

While I was out getting that package to a UPS driver 

and dropping something else off at the post office

my husband called to say he had finished his last job

so we decided to meet at Panera Bread for dinner. 

He had the soup and sandwich, and I had the soup and salad. 

Once again I forgot to snap a picture of our meal, but I did get these pics

The weather was beautiful and we ate outside. 

It was wonderful!!!

Not sure if I'll get to post the next few days, 

but if I can't, I'll catch up when I return.
