Well, in my attempts to keep up I had to let something go
but just for a while.
It has been more than a week since I posted last.
Let's see if I can catch up here...
I took Mom out to lunch the Friday before Mother's Day.
We went to Red Lobster and had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed ourselves so much
that in my excitement I forgot to snap a picture of our meal.
This is the only picture I got - of our wonderful Caesar Salads.
The Garlic Cheese Biscuits were scrumptious
and we each got the Create a Lunch platter of Shrimp and Chicken Tenders.
Mom had hers with rice and I had mine with a baked potato.
This was taken on Mother's Day Sunday at church
so mom's not in this picture because it's hard for her to sit for very long anymore
and neither are my boys in this picture although they were at church
(what's up with that?)
but I am so thankful for these precious gals
my daughters-in-love (as a friend of mine always says)
and my precious grandchildren!
I really was happy even if you can't tell from my face
but that's because my hubby was taking the picture and I wasn't sure how
it would end up turning out or when he was actually snapping it, ha ha.
(and what's up with that hair sticking up on my head...oh brother!)
This was taken on Wednesday, May 15th.
I had to run some errands in town and stopped by our local (YAY)
Starbucks to get this wonderful lunch with one of the gift cards
my kids gave me for Mother's Day!
It was SOOOO good!
That night I went to church to help my son and daughter-in-law
with a Youth Fundraiser Dinner they were in charge of...
but instead of helping in the kitchen
I got to watch this little Mutchkin :0)
I love him so much!
The next day (Thurs, the 16th) was our day with Ethan.
I had just found Buzz Lightyear in the closet upstairs.
We introduced Ethan to him.
Later I found Buzz and Woody (and the choo choo train)
stacked up like this
Ehtan did this all himself
He also likes to ride his Batmobile that Papa got him
and he has to have the hat (aka Popcorn Bowl) on his head, hahaha
He was a little fussy on this particular day. I think his tummy was bothering him.
He eventually fell asleep (but the sleep episode didn't last very long)
And when he woke up, Papa was back at home...
So we put on a movie - what else, but Toy Story
looks like maybe papa is trying to catch a few winks.

Friday I had to run to a nearby town (Lakeland) to take care of some business
and ended up driving past our very first apartment when we were just newlyweds.
It looks much better today than it did when we lived there 36 years ago
and it was 100 years old then!
This was our apartment, the downstairs right apartment.
This is the back entrance. Our door was on the left here.
It was so cool taking a trip down memory lane.
I texted these pictures to Manny right away...
I got back home, walked Milli, and headed out the door again.
This time with my mom. We went to lunch and then got pedicures.
I got French this time.
My got her usual with purple polish and a design painted on.
Later that evening we went to dinner with some dear old friends, Bill and Lou Jean.
We've known them for more than 30 years.
Bill and Manny use to work together
and Manny was the Best Man at their wedding.
Tonight we were celebrating Bill's birthday
We don't get together with them nearly enough
but it doesn't matter, we always pick up right where we left off :0)
The wonderful concoction you see at the bottom of this picture was his wife and my idea.
The guys weren't all that excited about dessert, but we were celebrating a birthday.
And it was scrumpdillyicious!!!
I recently bought a plaque that I found online.
I have it on the wall in my office upstairs.
It is right over the table where I work creating lockets.
It is a reminder that our dreams are possible if we believe
and are willing to work hard to make them come true.
It's good to be back. I'm missed writing to you.
Hope you are having a great weekend!!!
