Busy Sunday, Jury Monday

Gee whiz, the past few days have been a blur...
I'm sorry I've missed posting.
Sunday was unusually busy but GOOD.
We went to church in the morning,
then had a wonderful lunch with our kids and grandkids
at Ethan's home...that was SO much fun!
This was Sarah dancing to a song on TV
Here are all three grandkids playing (don't you love Ethan's spiked hair).
Here is a relaxing moment. Hannah talking to her mother
the guys watching something on TV...well, my sons, anyway,
Ethan was trying to pursuade his uncle to move out of the way, ha ha
and you see my husband in the background catching some ZZZzzz
We even got to see Rufus :0)
but had to stay in the bedroom. He's such a good boy.

On our way home I dropped off a locket order.
When I got home, I worked on another order
and placed an order for a new shipment of lockets
then made a nacho cheese dip to take with us to a get-together
to celebrate the (hopefully soon) arrival of a new baby
(my daughter-in-law's sister is expecting her forth child).
Here Hannah and Papa were playing a jumpy game

When we got back home that night I crawled into bed around 10pm.
I tried not to think about my impending doom the next morning
JURY DUTY!
Well, it seems I got myself ALL worked up for nothing.
It was really a very interesting procedure.
I didn't get selected for a jury and I am now excused for another year,
but the process itself is amazing
and I realized that if I were on trial, or if someone I loved was on trial
I would certainly want a fair trial with a jury of my peers.
Honestly, the most challenging thing for me
was being up and ready to leave my house by 7:00am.
I work from home, remember, and I am use to getting up early
but not so use to be dressed and out the door so early.
I was so stressed out, but as I was walking up to the courthouse
I saw a familiar face from a church we use to go to...
a sweet lady I had not seen in a while and she was just as nervous as I was.
We were so happy  to see each other and we kind of new that God was smiling on us.
It was HIS way of saying everything was going to be ok.
We got to share some parts of that day together and catch up.
It really ended up being a good day, but I almost forgot to mention
that when they dismissed us for lunch, I decided to run home to let Milli out.
I stopped and got something healthy to eat from Tropical Smoothie
and met up with Manny to bring him a smoothie, too,
and then headed home...
well it's a GOOD THING I DID!
As I got closer to the back door I heard Milli's usual howling
(she does that when we are away).
I was trying to look through the glass on the door to make eye contact w/her
but she was no where to be found.
I couldn't get the key to unlock the door fast enough -
I went inside and started looking around
and quickly realized where the sound was coming from
The Pantry
The door was almost completely closed!
I opened it up and there she was.
I have no idea how long she had been in there but thank the Good Lord
I decided to go home to check on her.
Manny said when he left that she as in her bed watching him leave.
I'm assuming the pantry door was left open
and she decided to snoop and then got behind the door and closed herself in.
Poor Milli.
When my day at the courthouse was done I decided to stop off at the grocery store.
And when I got home, I hurriedly put the food away
and got back in my car to head out to church.
They have a special activity for the ladies once a month
and wouldn't you know it, it was that night,
and the activity was making Cake Pops.
Manny was working on a project for our bus
so I decided to go and it was so much fun and yummy!
But by the time I got home I was totally exhausted.
I got my bath and went straight to bed.
I don't think I moved all night long.

Today, I didn't have to go anywhere.
I stayed home and tried catching up, once again, with the things that had been piling up.
I'm still trying to close out our company books
which is a challenge in between all the phone calls I have to answer
but it's all good and even though I did not get everything accomplished that I wanted to
I realize that tomorrow is another day...so until then,
Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite (my dad use to say that every night :0)
