Special Blessings

Today in church I had a special blessing...
the service was wonderful, the message was powerful, the worship was beautiful
but the moment that stood out for me was when I realized
the blessing that was surrounding me.
Of course the Holy Spirit was present and nothing could be sweeter than that
but after the worship and before the message we are encouraged
to walk around the sanctuary and greet people.
When we did this we met up with our two granddaughters and their sweet mother
who were sitting in the very back just in case Sarah decided to sound off
(remember - she's just a baby)
...well Hannah asked to sit with us, so she moved up closer to the front
with her Papa and I and sat right between us.
THEN, after the greeting when the worship team came down off the stage
a handsome young man came and sat beside me
it was our younger son, Mark (he plays guitar in the worship band).
His wife had not arrived with their son yet (they were coming to the 2nd service).
My heart was smiling inside.
Then a few moments later, another handsome young man (just a bit older)
came and sat beside Mark...it was his older brother, our firstborn Manuel.
He plays drums in the worship band.
I assume his wife had taken Sarah into the nursery so she could be as loud as she wanted.
So there I was, sitting in church with my husband, a Godly man
who has lead his family in the ways of the Lord,
and with both our sons, who love the Lord
and one granddaughter...old enough to sit in the Big Church.
She would be going to Children's Church during the 2nd service
but let me tell you, that girl knows how to pray
and I can tell she has a heart for God.
My heart was so full of love and gratitude to God
for the special blessing this Sunday morning
knowing that our sons love God and strive to be Godly men, too.
They are blessed with Godly wives and together they are raising their children
in the ways of the Lord.
There is just nothing sweeter than knowing that.
I am so grateful!
