Music is a Gift from God

Today was our day with Ethan and it was filled with love and fun.
We started the day with a Golf Cart ride with Papa

When they returned, Grandma Dee had the music going
Ethan enjoys music so much, especially music videos.
And he insists on wearing his hat (aka popcorn bucket)

After a morning filled with music and dancing,
and after his tummy was full from lunch
we proceeded to the bedroom to take a nap
I wish I could upload the video I took about 45 minutes into the process
of trying to get him to fall asleep
he was sitting up in the bed, talking about his mommy and daddy
and singing and smiling
but I persisted to convince him it was nap time and he finally surrendered to sleep

About an hour later he woke up with a smile
We got up and got him a snack and put the music back on.
Papa T was back home now, too, and snapped this picture of Ethan
who had found this Bible and this Teddy Bear (aka Milli)

Love this boy!!!
Love our grandchildren!!!

Tonight we were invited to visit our old church.
One of my Team Members attends there now
and the church was having a special night of worship
in support of an upcoming Missions Trip to Honduras.

I have some things that came to my mind (and heart) during this worship service
but I'll wait and share those things tomorrow.

Good NIght All!

A Baby Shower

Wow, here it is another hump day...middle of the week.
I have been beyond busy.
I have several new team members, can't believe how my business is growing!
I love it, it can just be overwhelming at times -
trying to help them all spread their wings.
But let me back up just a bit...

Sunday, we went to church and then headed out of town for a family event.
A baby shower for a very sweet great-niece, expecting her third daughter.
What a wonderful reason to celebrate!
The expectant mother was beautiful and radiant.
Here she is with her girls

I got to spend time with my niece Angela and her daughter Brittany

I also got to see my great nephews and another great niece,
and her daughter- my great, GREAT niece.
I love Family!

So, we played games and giggled and ate, and ate some more
Look at this spread

Let me tell you...it was all YUMMY!

Then we watched as beautiful baby things were unwrapped

Before we knew it, it was time to head back home.
Ashley, we love you and we are very excited as we know you are
to welcome your precious new blessing into the world!

Today I took mom for a perm and I got a Mani/Pedi.
Tomorrow is our day with Ethan.

Hope you are having a good week.

Is it going as quickly as mine is?

Skipping a Beat

Gee whiz, three days have gone by since I posted last.
It's been that kind of a week.
And didn't I say earlier in the month that I was trying to get to bed early?
That it was helping me to feel better...
and I was getting more done during the day?
Yeah, I said that -
well, a few nights this week I didn't get to bed before 1 am.
Oh well, it's not even 9 pm right now, so I may get to bed at a decent time tonight.

Let me re-trace my steps...
Wednesday I met with two new customers (that turned out very well).
In the afternoon I went to watch Ethan and his canine brother Rufus.
Ethan's mommy had a special function at church to tend to
and it was easier to watch Ethan and home so his mommy could get LOTS done.
This was Rufus in one of his passed out moments, ha ha.

Thursday was our day with Ethan.
It really wasn't that hot in our house, so I'm not sure why he would do this
every time I opened the refrigerator

After his nap I played a music video for him on the computer.
He LOVED it! He sat her and asked me to play it over and over again

I featured this video a little while back.
It's by Mindy Glenhill. It's a catchy little tune and I think he likes the kids in it.

We also watched Toy Story 2
We watch either 1 or 2 most every week.
He LOVES that movie!
And he especially loves Buzz LIghtyear

He's such a little doll! We love you Ethan!

I also got a pic of Hannah sent to me on my phone this week.
She's started taking dance classes again
That's her right by the teacher
She looks like a ballerina already :0)

Last thing I'll share with you is the latest of the KIA SOUL Commercials.
This one was just released.
Let me know what you think

Pearly Whites

Today I took my mom's dog Buttons to have her teeth cleaned

The technician who did it, cleans without sedation
and it was done right in front of me.
It took about 10 minutes.
Buttons was a very good girl and now her teeth are Pearly White again.

Tonight I went to a friend's church for a Ladies Night.
It was fun! The theme was The Beach and Summer.
Look at these adorable snacks and decorations

Even the table was decorated with sand, sea shells and umbrellas.

The Pastor's wife spoke and her message was very good -
about God's unending mercy and grace...like the waves of the sea
and how HE loves us and sees us always and forever...like the countless grains of sand
and how HIS love for us is as deep and as wide as the ocean.
I'm glad I went.

Fought With a Snake

I had a fairly productive day today.
Had to work on our Sales Tax report.
That took the better part of the morning.
Then I went to the grocery store.
When I came home and pulled into the driveway
and hit my remote to open the garage door
I noticed something slithering into the garage.
IT WAS A SNAKE.
They don't bother me too badly.
I stopped the car, got out and ran around him trying to get to the broom.
I grabbed the broom and started coaxing him outside.
He was not amused.
He did not want to go outside, but I didn't want him in the garage.
I insisted and he got mad and stated hissing and lunging at me.
One time he got a little too close
I let out a little scream (and that made me madder)
so I pushed him a bit harder with the broom
and he finally surrendered and went into the grass.
I was tired, and just wanted to bring the groceries in, ha ha.
Came in, unloaded the groceries, cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen,
answered some phone calls, took some orders,
and now I'm going to get my bath and go to bed.
Good night everyone.

Matthew 19:26

The Sermon today was from Jeremiah 17 and 18.
Our Pastor was talking about how God uses things in our life
good and bad things, to mold us into all that we can be
and our Heavenly Father always has our best interest in mind.
He can see the big picture, we cannot.
I need to remember that the next time I'm going through the fire,
or the valleys, if you will.

There were notes in my Bible from when another preacher
had preached from those verses several years ago.
I like to make notes in my Bible.
Some of you may think that is horrible to do,
but I love to be able to reference special moments, special messages,
and even who was preaching on those verses.
I've had this particular Bible for about 12 years, and it is really beginning to show it's age.
I suppose that is a good thing, but I seriously need to see about getting it rebound.

Anyway, I stumbled across this picture and saying just a little while ago

I think it's beautiful and I love what it says,
but for me, it has more meaning and more power because of what
Matthew 19:26 says:
"With God ALL things are possible!"
 Yes and Amen!

Time With Family

Just got back from a visit with my sister.
It was short but very sweet.
My hubby and one of our son's was helping my bro-in-law
move an electric gate.
So I made the most of the opportunity and went along.
Ethan and his mommy came along, too.
On our way, we stopped off to do a job
and this is what greeted us when we walked in

Did you notice the "Fresh Baked" sign, and the "Buy 3 Get 3 Free"?
Needless to say, I purchased a dozen to take to my sister's.

When we arrived at my sister's, look who was waiting for me
 Isn't she a DOLL!
Her shirt says, "Love My Aunt"
Her mommy made sure her grandma had that on when I got there.
You are LOVED Maddy!

The guys worked some before dark,
and then we hung out until like one in the morning talking.

This is what was waiting for us this morning (thanks Bro)
My brother-in-law loves to spoil us when we go to visit.
The guys quickly got back to business, working on the gate.
My sister and I hung out, and Ethan and his mommy went in the pool.
After lunch, Maddy came back for a visit.
Her mommy had to go to work and grandma and grandpa were watching her.
Don't you LOVE that bow!

This was a familiar scene. My sister has several dogs.
Roscoe in the biggest but gentlest.
We call him the Gentle Giant.
He is a very loving dog and watches over the baby.
He can't stand when she cries, and even cries himself he gets so distraught.
Here he is loving on Ethan and Meagan.

Ethan l♥ves Roscoe.

This was snapped before we had to leave.

By the way, here's that gate

We hit some crazy weather on our way home

The trick in Florida is to keep driving.
In a matter of moments we drove right out of that storm.
As quickly as it rolled in, it was gone.

We are home safely now.
Gonna get a shower and hit the bed early.
Tomorrow is Worship Day!
Do you go to church? I hope so.
Have a great weekend!

It's Friday Again :0)

So, yesterday was our day with Ethan.
Papa introduced him to Dominoes last week
and he wanted to play with them again, even though Papa was out working.

He had fun with them, as we were watching TOY STORY on TV.

Notice how his expression changes per what was going on in the movie:

Then we snapped this picture

He's such a DOLL! But I know I'm prejudice :0)

Today we are heading to my sisters.
My hubby and son are going to help my brother-in-law with a project that involves their Electric Gate.
FUN TIMES!
 Have a great weekend everyone!
