Tonight we got to watch our granddaughters.
What a blessing!
Hannah is growing up right before our eyes...
she is getting taller and acting so mature, and she can carry on quite a conversation.
She is very bright, but so kind and full of love,
and she is such a little mother to her baby sister.
We are still learning all about Sarah.
She is very much her own person and will have ways all her own.
She occupies herself quite well, but likes it best when her mama is around.
When mama is not around, Sarah is not a happy camper.
You may notice that her demeanor changes as the evening went on
(and she realized that her mama was not making an appearance)
At this point she was having a meltdown, and Hannah leaned over to kiss her
and attempting to console her (but Sarah wasn't buying it)
Finally, after a few hours of being upset, she gave out
(but this state of calmness didn't last long, lol)
When Sarah awoke from her 5 minute nap, Hannah and I gave her a bath and then her bottle.
She cried all the way through her feeding...
So I finally asked Hannah what Sarah would do if we laid her down
she said, "she'll probably go to sleep, Grandma Dee" and that's exactly what Sarah did!
Then it was one-on-one time with Hannah.
She showed me some new books her mama had gotten her,
and some of her special toys, like this camper
and this Sponge Bob pillow she won at Legoland
and her robot Alfie that she got for Christmas last year
And this Wizard of Oz Castle
And her Hello Kitty outfit
and this doll house
We had such a lovely evening :0)
Thank you, Lord, for your many blessings, and for the memories we made tonight.
