We arrived at the hospital around 2:00am.
We couldn't believe the lack of traffic on the expressways in Miami.
It was eerie but definitely a better time to be on those roads
Sorry this one is so blurry, but you can see the wide open lanes free of traffic
When we got to hospital, we of course got right in to see Mima
but she was sedated because of the equipment she's hooked up to.
We stayed for a little while, talked to the nurses
then headed to my sister-in-laws house to crash for a few hours.
Got to sleep just before 4am and slept until about 8. Thank the Lord for our air mattress.
Had a four-legged friend wake us up..

Here she is (white one on the right) with her partner in crime
After we got ourselves together we went for coffee and bagels at DD
then we drove to the hospital, both were near my sis-in-law's home.
You have to park in a parking garage.
You can't tell from this picture, but there were eight floors in this parking garage.
The first three are mostly for the doctors, and the forth is for clergy and valet parking.
The roof inside the parking garage is very low.
If I thought about how low that roof was, I would have a panic attack.
Here are some views of the city from level 8 where we ended up parking
These were outside the gift shop and they were real.
I took this picture especially for my brother-in-law Chuck
who grows orhids...BEAUTIFUL!
This was a familiar scene inside the CICU Waiting Room
Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
Here are some sites from the expressways in Miami as we traveled back and forth
This was a quick glimpse of the city at night
We headed home around 8:30 so we could vote tomorrow,
tie up a few jobs we had postponed
and then we'll be heading back.
