Oh Happy Day

Had to take Milli to the vet today. 

She's developed a cough and had been hacking quite a bit. 

I was worried thinking maybe she had congestive heart failure since she's up in age.

(Don't laugh...dogs get that too.)

Anyway, he said her heart sounds GREAT and her lungs were clear, 

he said even her blood pressure seems really good for her age. 

He did some blood work, gave her an exam, gave her a shot and some meds.

He thinks maybe she has an infection since her teeth are so bad, 

or it could just be old age...

In any case, I came home a happy camper.

Got her situated, took care of some Locket orders, then started to work on a grocery list.

AND THEN MY HUBBY CAME HOME!

And he offered to go shopping with me!
I was SO happy, because I was already tired and new he would be a BIG HELP

and he was!

So, in theory, I'm all set for Turkey Day.
My daughters-in-law will be bringing the casseroles they are famous for, 

and a salad and a dessert, and I will cook the turkey, stuffing, 

and mashed potatoes, and I'll recruit my momma's help with the gravy.

She makes the BEST gravy!

I'm hungry already :0)

 I'm feeling a bit guilty because I LOVE turkey

and I keep thinking about the feathered friends of mine who come around every day.
