Mr. Ethan was with us today, well - mostly me
since my hubby had a pretty full day of work.
The day went pretty well until I tried out a new plan for naptime.
Ethan is use to taking 2-3 hour naps at home with no problem
but he doesn't like sleeping here too much.
I think it's because we have so much fun and he doesn't want to miss anything, haha
but he gets sleepy after lunch and I know all babies need their rest
so I devised a plan with some suggestions from his mama
to lay him down in the portable crib upstairs, where is is darker and there is less going on.
His mom warned me there might be some crying and it might get pretty loud
and she was right, and it did.
After about 10 minutes I went up the stairs and crawled by the doorway
to peek in and see what he was doing
well, he was standing up, and his eyes met mine
and that was all it took.
Then the waling began, ha ha, and I just couldn't bare it!
I was a pretty tough mama, but I'm a wimp of a grandma.
I caved in and picked him up and sat in the chair w/him and rocked him
until he feel asleep (which didn't take very long).
And then I layed down with him while he slept
which was about an hour.
I actually look forward to that rest time when he's over.
It's the only time in my day when I slow down.
When he got up he had some tummy troubles
but when that passed, he was back to playing and watching Toy Story 2
Notice the rearranged furniture, ha ha.
Anything for our little guy...for our granddaughters too!
love them, Love them, LOVE THEM!!!!
Today, Milli's been gone a whole week.
I still miss her very much!
