Today I had a list of five particular things I really needed to accomplish.
1) Vote
2) Bake goodies for a care package
3) Ship the care package
4) Do our monthly Sales Tax Report
5) Color my hair
It is 9:15 pm and so far I have
1) Voted √, 2) Baked goodies √, 3) Shipped the Pkg √
I still have the Sales Tax Report to do
and the hair color is doing its thing as I type this post.
All-in-all, it's been a calmer day than yesterday
and I feel confident that I'll accomplish the required tasks before I go to bed.
Now...here's how you make Crispy Cookies:
(at least, this is how I do it)
First you bake a loaf of banana bread
While it's baking, make your cookie dough.
Today's selection was Oatmeal Scotchies
Bake your first batch of cookies (2 trays in oven)
When done, remove them from pans to cool
Put your second batch of cookies in the oven to bake
When done remove them...
except the phone rings as I'm taking the first pan out
Shut off the oven and timer.
Transfer cookies from first tray to cooling rack while on business phone call
Realize the UPS truck will arrive shortly so
expedite packaging of cooled banana bread and cookies
Create Shipping label on computer. Attach label to pkg and run out to meet the UPS driver.
Return to kitchen and begin clean up.
After 20+ minutes realize the second tray of cookies is missing.
Check oven.
Yep...there they are...nice and crispy.
By the way, this result was not intended nor recommended
but it just so happens that my hubby likes them this way :0)
