Plans Can Change (it's ok)

Today I was suppose to drop my mom off for a hair appointment
and then run some errands...that was the original plan
but sometimes things don't go as planned.
There was a mix-up with my mom's hair appointment
so just a few minutes into my errands, I got a call to go back and pick her up.
I knew she was going to be pretty upset and she was :0(
My mom gets a perm every couple of months
and then her hair is relatively easy to care for until she needs a perm again,
but a few days before that scheduled perm she starts to psych herself up for the event
and she always has a hard time sleeping the night before.
So, I picked her up from the salon I had dropped her off at just 10 minutes before
and after she vented a little about her frustration we decided to go to Olive Garden for lunch.
Momma doesn't get out that much anymore.
It takes a lot out of her because of her arthritis and her bad hip,
but we decided to make the most of her day out.
Sitting in the restaurant waiting for our soup and salad to arrive
I noticed this charming picture on the wall

I could just see us sitting at this lovely cafe somewhere in Italy
without a care in the world...
We enjoyed our lunch, very much I might add, especially the frozen cappuccinos
and after a quick stop at the grocery store we made our way home.

I got mom inside her apartment (right next door to me)
and brought things in from the car just before my hubby made it home - a bit earlier than usual.
I don't know about you, but when my hubby is home my normal routine is thrown off kilter.
Even so, I was glad he didn't have to work such a long, hard day
especially since our Florida summer days can be brutal.
I eventually started dinner, cleaned the kitchen, and then noticed there was a wonderful movie on TV!
It is called "Sundays at Tiffany's"
not to be confused with "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which I know is a Classic Audrey Hepburn movie.
No, this one is a 2010 made for TV movie staring Alyssa Milano

I loved it so much after I saw it the first time I had to buy it,
and of course, since it was playing on TV - I had to sit down and watch it again.
Eventually my hubby wound up in the room and watched it with me (he likes it, too).
If you haven't seen it, try to catch it the next time it's on TV...or rent it.
I think you might really like it :0)
