Precious Moments

Today I got to spend some precious time with a dear friend.
Sadly though, she is experiencing a tremendous loss in her life.
We talked, cried, reflected, and reminded each other of God's promises
to His children...it was a very special time
and my prayers will continue to be with my dear friend.

After I left my friend, I went to pick up Hannah.
She was going to be spending the night with us :0)
From the moment she got in the car our minds were in sync
we both had the same thought "let's go get ice cream"
and we did!

We ate our ice cream and then headed home.
As soon as got home, she wanted to settle her things in "her room"
She has decided that she's a big girl now and will stay by herself in one of our rooms upstairs.
This particular room use to be her daddy's room, and she has claimed it for her own, lol.
She showed me all the toys she had brought - dolls mostly, and one book
and she laid out her clothes for the next day.
Then we talked about all the things we would do during her stay.

Then her Papa arrived home with a wonderful surprise.
Hannah had been telling us about a racetrack they have at her Children's Church
and that sometimes they have races but she said she never wins
because she didn't have a real Hot Wheels Car...
so her Papa figured he would supply her with not just one car but a pack of 5 (haha)
and tracks to practice with.
So this is what they did until dinner time (and afterwards, too).

Then it was time for her bubble bath, a book, prayer time and then bed.
But after the bath and before she climbed into bed we brushed her beautiful hair.
Can you believe how long it is?
She said her daddy doesn't want her to ever cut it.
(I think it's precious that you can see her daddy's baby picture on the wall).

After brushing came story time

and now prayers have been said, lights are out
and as soon as I finish this sentence it's gonna be lights out for me, too.
Until tomorrow then, we'll probably be rising with the dawn :0)
